On Saturday Night before Labor Day Michelle gets a call from her sister Nettie saying she thinks we should do a BBQ at Grandma and Grandpa Woolley's the next Day. Michelle tells Nettie she should contact the grandparents and see what they think. Nettie wasn't able to get a hold of them so she calls her parents to let her know what she wants to do. Glenn and Carol had the same idea so they had called the Woolleys to let them know a few family members would be coming for dinner. In the mean time, Michelle decides to invite some of the cousins over for dessert that same night at the grandparent's without informing the grandparents, and Michelle's parents do the same by inviting a few more people to dinner. In the end our group went from 11 to 16 for dinner and then another 8 were added for dessert to make it 24 and that was with a chunk of people who weren't in town or ill who would have been invited not attending all without informing the grandparents. I guess it was a good thing because the more the grandparents know the more they stress out so its better to keep things on the down low. Either way we had a wonderful time hanging out and eating some good food.

We enjoyed this evening so much that we decided to make it a more regular occurrence, the dessert gathering that is, we don't want too much stress put on the Grandparents. We will do it every other month on the first Sunday of the month. That means we would be scheduled for one on November 7th. We will keep everyone updated. Thanks again Grandma and Grandpa Woolley for letting us crash at your house for a "little" party. Till next time.

That picture of dad is great. His shirt totally blends into the couch. I'm not sure what that says about dad's choice of clothing? Hummmm... Yay for impromptu parties...They're the BAYEST!
